MK 13A Propane-Air gas Manufacturing Process

Background of technical development and process description

KOAGAS NIHON Group was not in position to procure the LNG for raw material of town gas at the competitive price and on a stable, long-term basis at that time when we were faced with a problem of the expansion of the plant capacity.
We decided to develop a process consuming the LP Gas as a raw material for manufacturing town gas.
Two plants of the developed process have been on stream successfully at the factories of South Japan Gas Co.
Superior usability and burning characteristics of our gas are highly appreciated by the customers.
Although a number of the licensed plants is just five so far, there are a good many of inquiries about licensing from inside and outside Japan.
The technology is coming to light in terms of carbon dioxide (CO2) free, gentle-with-the-grove process.

The most outstanding feature of the process is to have adopted an air-heated type of vaporizer in process with which the heat of the ambient air is used for the vaporization of the liquefied propane instead of such valuable energy as fuel or electricity, etc.
Air-heated/hot-water dual type of vaporizer developed recently has got rid of the limitation on use in a zone of cold.
Process is simplified with adoption of Venturi mixer.
Product gas can be delivered without being boosted up.
Propane-air gas (13A gas) is easy to use , especially superior to LNG-propane gas (13A) in burning with a closed-type of gas appliance such as an auto-rice-cooker.

Features and Advantages of Process
1.Adoption of air-heated type of vaporizer
2.Full-automatic control
3.Functional, compact process layout
4.Low plant cost
5.Low manufacturing cost
6.Safety, pollutants-free plant operation
7.Excellent usability, burning characteristics of product gas
